The ensemble return to Luton with a world première by their horn player, Paul Cott, a rarely heard work by their namesake Lennox Berkeley and Beethoven’s epic Septet. For John Joseph Merlin, a piece written in celebration of the seventeenth century’s foremost violin-playing, roller skate-inventing, party-loving mechanical engineer, the ensemble will be joined by viola players from Luton Music Service and dancers from Luton 6th Form College.

We are most grateful to the Lennox Berkeley Society for financial help in presenting this concert.
