Stabat Mater reviews roundup
One of the biggest projects of 2016 was the recording and performances of Lennox Berkeley’s Stabat Mater – a greatly neglected masterpiece by the composer from whom we take our name.

On 7th, 8th and 9th October, the fifteenth Little Venice Music Festival will take place, curated for the first time by the Berkeley Ensemble.
Summer festivals: a bumper crop
The Berkeley Ensemble has a bumper crop of festival appearances lined up for its summer season.
The Berkeley Ensemble has been appointed as the University of Hull’s first Associate Artist in Music from autumn 2015. The London-based group will visit several times a year to work with students and perform as part of the university’s annual recital programme.
The ensemble is thrilled that Gramophone has included our latest album, Lennox Berkeley: Chamber Works in a recent Critics Choice 2015 feature. Writing in the December issue, Peter Dickinson hails the album as ‘a most enjoyable collection in every way’.
