The Berkeley Ensemble is delighted to bring a typically eclectic programme of ensemble favourites to Potton.
Beethoven’s Seminal Septet is proceeded by Nielsen’s Serenata in Vano, for the unusual instrumentation of clarinet, bassoon, horn, cello and double bass. The ensemble’s commitment to British music is also evident, with the inclusion of Lennox Berkeley’s String Trio, and Oliver Knussen’s meditative Secret Psalm for solo violin.
