Summer festivals: a bumper crop

strawberries large credit Eric Borja

The Berkeley Ensemble has a bumper crop of festival appearances lined up for its summer season.

We’re very excited to be making our first appearances at the Spitalfields and Cheltenham festivals to perform Lennox Berkeley’s powerful Stabat Mater with the wonderful Marion Consort and David Wordsworth. On July 2nd the ensemble’s strings join pianist Rika Zayasu at the Tudeley Festival for Chamber Music and Voice for Franck’s turbulent Piano Quintet, whilst we finish the season with leading natural horn player Pip Eastop of the Hanover Band for a programme of Mozart, Britten and Berkeley as part of the Arundel Festival. We hope to see you there!
