As the situation around COVID-19 continues to develop rapidly and in some ways unpredictably, the Berkeley Ensemble have taken the decision to postpone our 2020 Little Venice Festival until 2021.
We are so enthusiastic about our plans for a festival inspired by the life and work of locally born codebreaker Alan Turing that we want to give them the best chance of success. As funding bodies divert grants towards sustaining arts organisations and live music making faces a very uncertain immediate future, postponing our plans seems to be the best way of keeping them, us and our audiences safe for now.
Like all arts organisations, the Little Venice Music Festival faces a difficult time in the wake of the pandemic. If you’ve enjoyed events in the past or are looking forward to live music after the pandemic, do consider supporting us to help us face the future with confidence.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation, and as soon as it is safe to do so, we’ll be back in Little Venice with some kind of live music – watch this space!
