Featuring a ballerina who can make fire, a rabbit helicopter pilot and a dog and cat pop duo, Stories in Sound is back and it’s better than ever. As before, our audiences hear a variety of live chamber works and learn how music can inspire ideas and storytelling. Creating their own characters, plot and story arc inspired by the music, this time their ideas are even more vividly brought to life with the help of live illustrations!
Stories in Sound was originally conceived by the Berkeley Ensemble and animateur Neil Valentine in 2016. In this new phase, Neil, the ensemble and live illustrator Camille Aubry, in partnership with Primary Robins, have been visiting primary schools in Hampshire, Surrey, and London to perform the show.
The development and 10-school pilot phase of Stories in Sound 2025 has been generously supported by The Derrill Allatt Foundation and The SCOPS Art Trust
