Beethoven Septet Study Day
The Berkeley Ensemble celebrate their 10th birthday in 2018. As part of the celebrations, the ensemble will be recording and touring Beethoven’s Septet, a staple of the group’s repertoire. Following on from their annual chamber music courses, the ensemble are excited to share their enthusiasm for the work in their first study day for amateur chamber musicians.
Taking place at St. Saviour’s Church, Warwick Avenue (London) on Saturday 29 September, the ensemble invite amateur chamber musicians to join them for a day exploring, discussing and rehearsing this chamber music favourite.
Places are available for violin, viola, cello, double bass, clarinet, bassoon and horn and are strictly limited, allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Once places for individual instruments have been filled, a waiting list will operate with the possibility of additional groups being formed if demand is indicated.
The cost of the day will be £75, to include coaching with members of the Berkeley Ensemble, tea/coffee, lunch and a miniature score of the work for you to keep.
To apply, please complete and return the application form at the link below to annabel@berkeleyensemble.co.uk. Accepted applicants will be asked to transfer a non refundable deposit of £35 on application, with the remainder due by 1 September.
